Ready to start your fitness journey? Here are some tips to help you get going:
- Be determined:
Start because you are convinced that you love your body and want to improve it. Having the right mindset is a key starting point.
- Be patient:
Patience, oh Patience, where have you been? If you don’t have it, you will learn it along the way. Permanent, consistent changes to your body do not happen overnight. Once you start seeing results, you’ll want to push yourself more and more every time.
- Exercise and nutrition work hand in hand:
Don’t expect to see results if you are not watching what you eat. You can start off by decreasing the amount of junk food you eat per week, cut down on the carbs, increase the protein, and add more veggies to your meal.

- Don’t be stubborn when it comes to choosing the workouts:
You might think that one move worked magic on a friend of yours but every body is different. Not all exercises are suitable for everyone.
- Don’t be afraid of lifting weights:
Many people especially women, are afraid of lifting weights. They immediately think that weights = bulky muscles. No, this is not true, this is a MYTH. Lifting weights burns fat, relieves stress, and tones your body.

- Choose Motivational Music:
Prepare some playlists of music ahead of time so you can play them while working out, it will help boost your mood.
- Workout with a friend, companion, or lover:
When you workout with someone you love spending time with, you end up motivating each other and having so much fun together. You can also think of it as another opportunity to see each other.
- Go buy yourself some NEW active-wear:
When you’re starting a fitness journey you don’t really care about what you’re wearing and you end up picking the old baggy clothes you never wear. This can end up demotivating you. So, go buy yourself some colorful trendy and pretty sportswear, not only will this affect your mood; it will also encourage you to workout and feel comfortable with yourself.
Good Luck!
